
We've all been told at one time or another in our
lives to "think outside the box'". For some, this means working painstakingly to
seem creative. For others, this type of divergent thinking comes naturally.
It is human nature to be slightly jealous of the latter, as they are the
selected few. This is why we should be grateful that we have the opportunity to
step into the world of Michael S. Wahba.
Michael is currently in the Residential Sales and Rental Business.

This year, he hopes to grow from two offices with about 25 agents to five offices with over 70 agents. But what about the year it all began?
During 2004-2007, Michael felt very content in the Real Estate Business. He focused on buying both Residential and Commercial buildings and it paid off, quite literally. The market was on fire; everything he touched had turned to money. Until 2008, that is. The music suddenly stopped; Elvis left the building. Deals were nowhere to be found. Something had to be done.
It was apparent to Michael that he needed something to keep him in the game and in tune to the market. This was the turning point. This was when he turned around to say ‘I need to do something in the Real Estate business that generated cash flow’.
This is how he got into the Residential/Rental sale business. Michael was finally in tune with himself; he finally found something with which he could utilize his Real Estate contacts and skills.

Now, he just needed to get the music started again. He and his partner put in the initial money needed to finance the business. Then, they spent marketing dollars with the NYT and Craigslist. And finally, with the help of word of mouth and referrals, Michael was back in the running.

In terms of his role in the business, Michael says, he is getting back to the basics as he had done in the beginning. In addition, he does the leasing himself because put simply, that is the only way to learn.
